NIJ IIIA bulletproof vest is composed of fabrics made of high-performance fibers, say aramid materials or ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene.

Bulletproof vest is able to reach the IIIA level of the US NIJ standard. This level is only for pistol shells, that is, it can only defend against .44 Magnum JHP and 9mm Para FMJ.
